It’s April!
I get really excited when this month comes. I can’t wait to celebrate my birthday! It may not be super bongga…but waking up on d-day itself and being greeted by my love ones and friends really warms my heart. Abot hanggang tenga ang ngiti ko promise!
Hmmm last year I spent my birthday in bed. I was ordered by my OB-Gyn to bed rest because baby Cerise wants to come out already. I was planning to have all my close friends and relatives to join me but decided to cancel it since I won’t be able to entertain them anyway. But this year, I’m having a small get together with my family …(hope Tita and my siblings come) and besides me and my baby girl will spend the day together which will make it extra special. It still won’t be big but it will always be filled with happy memories. I’m a very appreciative and low maintenance kind of girl…simple things make me happy…it’s not like I want and demand two kinds of cake whenever I celebrate my birthday! (tsk tsk tsk)
In a couple of weeks I’ll be turning 30. I feel like I’ve matured a lot. I’ve focused on better and brighter thoughts and goals this year and for the coming years. I’m still emotional and quick to judge others (I can’t help it). But I think I can control my emotions better and keep my thoughts to myself (especially when egotistic and narrow-minded people are around hehe).
Overall, I’m pretty much the same old Karen, I love laughing and goofing around with my inner circle of family and friends, and appear snobbish to those who don’t know me. But that’s me…if you don’t like me then, “girl… shut up and go home!” (hehe taray!)
