Looking Back…

2008 was a rollercoaster ride for me. In the early part of the year, I was trying to get over the death of my mom and at the same time taking good care of myself because little Cerise was still inside me. Come second quarter of the year, I was put on bedrest because Cerise wants to come out at 31-32 weeks! I kept praying day and night for her not to come out just yet and wait for her Dad…thankfully He granted my prayers and Cerise stayed in my womb for a few more weeks before I finally gave birth on May 24 and with her Dad beside us.

Beginning second half of the year, I was juggling work and being a mommy to Cerise. Everything was new, there were a lot of questions as to how to take care of my newborn…but I went through that smoothly. I had lots of help and love around me and I do thank my husband and family for that! This is also that part of the year where I learned to close chapters and appreciate those people who truly love the Karen that I am now.

The last part of 2008 was an eye-opener. I have learned to love deeper, trust more, accept life’s little lessons (even if it hurts so bad!) and forgive the people you truly love! Life is indeed beautiful, it may not be fair sometimes but it always teaches you to be a better person. And for those who insist on doing the “pasaway stuff” let good old “Karma” take care of them hahaha!

I do pray that 2009 will be much much brighter and less melodramatic. I still have lots of worries and doubts in my mind and in my heart but I will not allow dark clouds to cast a gloomy shadow on my otherwise perky and happy nature! I’m sure gonna make 2009 an awesome, fun-filled and meaningful year for me and my family!

TMNB :)
