“Closing Cycles”

Sometime in August, my uber sweet and intelligent cousin, Mikai, sent me an email, entitled, “Closing Cycles” by Paulo Coelho. This somehow opened my eyes on how we should deal with certain changes in our lives.

“Things pass, and the best we can do is to let them really go away.” Aanhin mo nga naman ang isang relationship kung makakaapekto ito sa pakikitungo mo sa ibang mga mahal mo sa buhay. Hindi na siya healthy, so why insist na mabuo ang dating may lamat na…the best thing to do is to let it go and i guess…start anew.

“Do not expect anything in return, do not expect your efforts to be appreciated, your genius to be discovered, your love to be understood. Stop turning on your emotional television to watch the same program over and over again, the one that shows how much you suffered from a certain loss: That is only poisoning you, nothing else.”

Sometimes.. nope most of the time.. people tend to expect too much in return. Deep inside, you want people to notice you…appreciate your efforts but these things we can’t control. We can’t expect everyone to love and understand who we are. But we have to move on, get rid of the negative vibe that slows us down and makes us the person that we are not.

“Closing cycles. Not because of pride, incapacity or arrogance, but simply because that no longer fits your life. Shut the door, change the record, clean the house, shake off the dust. Stop being who you were, and change into who you are. ”

Sa dami ng dadanasin natin sa buhay, mabuti ng alisin yung mga events, memories and even people that you once cared for na di mo na kailangan, para naman you make room for those that brighten your day and make you happy.

Right now, I am so blessed and thankful sa lahat ng blessings Niya sa pamilya ko at sa mga taong tunay na mahal ko at tunay na nagmamahal sa akin. Yun lang naman ang mahalaga…the sooner we learn and realize that…the healthier all our relationships will be.

Till my next blog…
